Vacancy for Computer Systems Manager  

U.S. Embassy Dublin invites applications from suitable qualified persons for the position of computer systems manager.

The incumbent will provide first and second level desktop support to all users to resolve hardware and software issues. The position will support and administer the Embassy’s LAN including servers, hubs, switches, routers for approximately 80 users and over 100 connected PC’s, printers and network devices.

Qualifications Required:

  • A third level degree or professional qualification in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of seven to ten years experience in an IT environment, at least three of these should be at senior management/ supervisory level.
  • A good working knowledge of basic PC operations and maintenance.
  • A proven track record of managing employees, delivering service enhancements, organize, implement and complete IT-based projects.
  • Microsoft Networking essentials, NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Admin, Core technologies, Exchange 5.5, MCP and or A+ certification.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to explain and apply complex regulations and operating procedures.
    Salary range: €54,217 - €75,355 – the actual salary will depend on the selected candidate’s experience.
